The Acting
Drama
In 2011, I was involved in my school's production of The Fourth Wish. I played the leading male role of Mr. D.J. Inn... a genie making it big in the make-up business. In the play, my character is interviewed by a curious reporter and eventually tells her the story of how Jack, the insecure teenager, figures out he doesn't actually need wishes... or at least that's kind of how the play goes.
Speech
Himalayan Survival 101
This past Speech season I did the events Entertainment and Duet. My entertainment speech was called Himalayan Survival 101. The basis of it was how to make a Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich...in the Himalayas. My self-written speech stepped the audience through the whole procedure of making a PBJ. Everything from choosing what to eat, gathering the right supplies, to actually assembling the sandwich.
I was also in a duet with my partner Kayla. Titled "Open to Interpretation", our duet did several humorous scenes based on the story "Hansel & Gretel". The different sections included Fairytale, Shakespeare, Vaudeville, British Tea Time, Soap Opera, and a confusing psychological part! We had a great season and had lots of fun!

Comedy Camp
Driving the car with my knee in a game of Hitchhiker.
This summer I attended The Great American Comedy Festival Camp in Norfolk, NE. The camp focused mostly on improv comedy. We performed the various sketches and improv games we learned during the camp at a special teen show during the Comedy Festival. Some of our instructors were the famous Megan Grano and Eddie Brill. I met a bunch of other people who love being funny! Needless to say, the experience was full of laughter!
